About Me
When I left home the day after finishing high school, I didn’t have much—just one bag of clothes, a determination to chart my own path, and a dream of a better future. I moved to a cattle station to be with the man I would marry at 20, have two children with, and eventually divorce by 26. Back then, I didn’t know who I truly was or what mattered most to me. All I knew was that I was “smart” and determined, but life quickly proved it would demand much more than that.
By the time I divorced, I was a single mom of two boys, training as a nurse and desperate to build a life of stability for my family. I joined the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) through an undergraduate sponsorship program to support my studies while raising my children. The plan? Serve my time, finish my nursing degree, and return to civilian life. But life had other ideas.
My years in the RAAF were filled with challenges and sacrifices. As a single mother working full-time in demanding roles, I found myself constantly trying to balance my professional responsibilities, clinical skills, and my boys’ wellbeing. Survival mode became my norm.
Fast forward to 2017, and life as I knew it came to a halt. Injuries and illnesses sustained during my service rendered me unfit to continue. After years of deployments, shift work, extra jobs, and relentless self-sacrifice, I found myself burned out, managing chronic illnesses, recovering from a severe on-duty car accident, and grappling with the loss of the career I had built my life around.
And yet, it wasn’t the end of my story—it was the beginning of something greater.
During those turbulent years, I had one guiding principle: stability. I worked hard to create financial security, family stability, and the freedom of choice for my children and myself. That drive taught me resilience and fueled my recovery from the years of stress and adaptation I had put my mind and body through.
Meeting my husband and blending our family of four children and six grandchildren was a turning point. But it wasn’t until I discovered Precision Health Coaching through the Precision Health Alliance that everything truly clicked.
Here was the missing piece: the tools and insights to prevent and recover from the kind of lifestyle stress and chronic diseases I had faced. This approach transformed how I saw health, balance, and fulfillment—not just for myself but for others.
