A Transformative Journey to Holistic Wellbeing

Imagine a world where well-being is not an unattainable dream but a tangible reality. A world where we can navigate life’s ups and downs with resilience, cultivate meaningful connections, and nurture our mental health.
Health promotion and prevention is such a better investment

It struck me how closely aligned I am to the authors of this article where I believe that spending money on health promotion and prevention is such a better investment than paying for treatment and potential cures.
McKinsey Health Institute “proposes disproportionately investing in disease prevention and health promotion in addition to treatment to help people truly thrive. Promotion is defined here as actions that help individuals achieve and sustain the best possible physical, mental, social, and spiritual health given their intrinsic biological capacity.”
Feeling like you’re on your way to burnout or already there?

It’s just a flesh wound”
“Tis but a scratch”
Fans of Monty Python and The Holy Grail will remember those words. For everyone else – it’s a scene where the Black Knight and King Arthur are duelling and the Black Knight keeps being struck by King Arthur and loosing limbs but refuses to give up. Boundaries are Scary!!!

That was a response that I had from several people (concerningly women) to some questions I posed recently, and it surprised me. I thought I would get responses to the effect that boundaries are hard and difficult but necessary and other words to that effect.
What makes boundaries hard, particularly for women in this case? Just to be transparent, the rest of this article will predominantly focus on women as I didn’t have enough responses from men to generalise. Some women expressed that trying to have and assert boundaries, brought so much conflict and confrontation with the activity that it wasn’t worth it to them. Others find safety in boundaries.
